It fills me with nostalgia, but I do not know for what. However, a certain crispness in the mornings and the brown, dried, crunchy leaves gathered on my deck since yesterday (which I don’t feel like sweeping away at all by the way…<3) keep whispering to me that fall is already on its way! There is a smell in the air, the smell of autumn, a yeasty, damp, fruity smell, carrying a hint of smoke and a hint, too, of decay. There may be some more days before fall can officially begin.
